How to Make a Fun and Easy Countdown Card

Avoid that morning sugar rush with a candy free way to countdown the days to Christmas! We love counting the days until Christmas without having lots of chocolate advent calendars!  This is a lovely Christmas countdown card, ideal for an advent calendar and a Christmas card too!

Materials Needed

blank card plus envelope

gold or silver marker pen

festive sequins, buttons or stickers

small organza bag

glue stick

How We Made It!

We counted out 24 buttons, sequins and stars and placed these in the organza bag.  We then folded the card in half and wrote Merry Christmas inside it using the gold marker pen.  Next, we wrote numbers 1 to 24 in gold marker pen all over the front of the card.  Finally, we placed the organza bag and the card inside the envelope for later.

How to Use it!

There is a special sequin or sticker in the bag for every day from the 1st of December right up to Christmas Eve.  Each morning find the number on the card and place some glue on top of that number.  Select one of the sequins or stickers from the bag and stick it onto the card.  Repeat this every day until you have a pretty, decorated card and you have counted down the days to Christmas Day!
